Your feet carry you through thousands of steps a day.
Over time, wear and misalignment can lead to pain or injury. Repetitive impact from running, jumping or a sudden increase in activity can strain tendons and ligaments. High or low arches can disrupt natural shock absorption. A twist or misstep can sprain the ligaments that stabilize the ankle, and years of weight-bearing can wear down cartilage.
Conditions like plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, arthritis and overuse injuries are common culprits, and footwear and movement habits often play a role too.
Foot and ankle pain can take many forms.
The pattern of your pain helps us narrow down which structures are involved and how to treat them.
Heel or Arch Pain
Pain under the heel or along the arch, often worst with the first steps of the day.
Ankle Stiffness
Limited ankle motion that makes walking, squatting or stairs uncomfortable.
Achilles Pain
Soreness or tightness at the back of the ankle, often linked to overuse.
Ankle Instability
An ankle that rolls easily or feels unreliable after a previous sprain.
Pain With Activity
Discomfort that builds with running, jumping or long periods on your feet.
Swelling & Bruising
Severe swelling, bruising or sharp pain after an injury should be evaluated promptly to rule out a fracture or torn ligament.
Customized relief, not one-size-fits-all.
We evaluate how your foot and ankle move, how you walk, and how your knees and hips share the load, so we can pinpoint what’s driving your pain.
Your plan may include chiropractic care and joint mobilization, rehab exercises to strengthen weak areas and restore range of motion, and guidance on warm-ups, stretching and footwear. Custom orthotics are available at Hamilton Health Associates to help distribute pressure more evenly, and shockwave or laser therapy may be considered where appropriate.
