Fibromyalgia changes how the body processes pain.
Fibromyalgia often brings widespread discomfort, fatigue and trouble concentrating. Early signs commonly include persistent muscle aches, extreme fatigue, tender points and difficulty focusing, and some people notice symptoms worsening after illness, injury or stress.
There is no cure for fibromyalgia, but with the right care many people see meaningful improvement in their symptoms. Our approach focuses on improving movement, reducing flare-ups and helping you stay active.
Fibromyalgia affects more than muscles.
Symptoms vary from person to person and can change from day to day.
Widespread Aches
Persistent muscle aches and pain in many areas of the body.
Fatigue
Exhaustion that makes everyday tasks feel harder than they should.
Tender Points
Areas that are especially sensitive to pressure or touch.
“Fibro Fog”
Difficulty concentrating or thinking clearly.
Flare-Ups
Symptoms that intensify with stress, poor sleep, illness, weather changes or diet.
Stiffness
Muscle stiffness that makes movement and getting comfortable difficult.
Gentle, personalized care that adapts with you.
Your plan may include targeted strength and mobility exercises to improve posture, flexibility and stability, manual therapy and myofascial release to relieve tension and promote relaxation, and pain education to help you understand how pain is processed and how to manage it.
We also cover stress and relaxation techniques, posture and ergonomic adjustments for movement and sleep, identifying your flare-up triggers, and at-home strategies to reinforce your progress. As your symptoms change, we adjust your plan.
No referral needed. Most commercial plans, including Medicare, accepted. Myofascial release and psychology services are offered at Hamilton Health Associates.
