A non-surgical option for stubborn pain.
Shockwave therapy uses targeted acoustic waves to stimulate tissue repair and improve circulation in the treated area. It is widely used in sports medicine, orthopedics and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions that affect tendons, ligaments and muscles.
As the waves reach the affected tissue, they may trigger the body’s natural repair process, supporting blood flow and collagen production and helping reduce pain, without surgery or medication.
What to expect during treatment.
Assessment
Each plan starts with an assessment to determine whether shockwave therapy is appropriate for your condition.
Treatment
A conducting gel is applied and the device delivers controlled pulses to the area. Most patients tolerate it well with mild discomfort, and settings can be adjusted for comfort.
Recovery & Follow-Up
A typical plan is three to five sessions about a week apart. You can return to daily activities right away, but avoid high-impact exercise for 24 to 48 hours.
