Targeting the knots behind muscle pain.
Dry needling uses thin needles to target trigger points, the tight bands or “knots” in muscle that can contribute to pain and restricted movement. Dry needling focuses on muscle anatomy and function.
At Pure Health Chiropractic, dry needling is provided by Dr. Beau Van Wechel, who is certified in dry needling. It is typically combined with hands-on therapy and corrective exercises as part of a broader plan.
What a dry needling visit looks like.
Evaluation
We review your symptoms and history and assess how you move to find the muscles and trigger points involved.
Treatment
Thin needles are placed into targeted muscles. Most patients feel a brief muscle twitch or mild soreness, similar to post-workout fatigue, which usually settles within a day or so. Techniques are adjusted for your comfort.
Hands-On Care & Exercise
Dry needling is paired with hands-on therapy and corrective exercises. The number of sessions depends on your condition, and we build a plan around your goals.
What our patients say.
"I have had two accidents within the last year and they have brought me back to healthy status. The entire staff is great and they treat you like family. If you want the best service to treat your injuries, I highly recommend them."Trevor Brentley
